Biography
Daniela Bradley is a sculptor and painter residing in the Riverina NSW.
Trained as an illustrator and Graphic Designer, she also recently studied Visual Arts at Lismore Tafe.
Her work is representational, often heavy with narrative, an occasional dose of humour and a preference for Contemporary Australiana.
‘I tend to interpret the world around me in symbols. I use my arts practice as a method for processing this information into a visual language. The intent is to try to engage the viewer on the subject or story.’
Visual metaphors, symbols and occasional irony, occupy the strong thematic scenes in her work.
Daniela has had solo and group shows at four Australian Regional Galleries, won local and regional art competitions and been selected as a finalist for various national art prizes.
Recent works consist of striking sculptures predominately in bronze. Her paintings are in oils and often treated more like objects by use of unusual formats and frames.
